Meal Plan for Kids

Breakfast:

  • Ideal time 6-8am.
  • Milk +fruit / Soaked dry fruits in winters. (Preferably use one type of fruit)

Lunch:

  • Time 11am-1pm
  • Start with raw salads. ( sprouts can also be used in salads)
  • Rice or Chapatti.
  • Daal.
  • Vegetables. ( vegetables quantity > daal)
  • Daal.
  • Curd optional.

Evening Snack Fruits/ Corn/ Biscuits

Dinner:

  • Time 6-8pm.
  • Start Mixed vegetables soup.
  • Daal.
  • Vegetables sabji (Vegetables – Rice or chaptti

Notes:

  • Do not drink water just before or after meals.
  • Fruits showed be preferably eaten ½ hour before meals/milk.
  • White sugar is refined sugar. Raw forms of sugar like gud, shakker, mishri are better.
  • Reduce /stop the use of white flour (maida and white sugar) in particularly hyperactive kids
  • Milk is not the absolute necessity in child’s diet.
